Amazing tree. Some branches grow downwards and they become like roots, and kind of twine each other, and support the tree. We call this "Gajumaru tree."
The first time I saw one of these trees was a few weeks ago in Hawaii. They were strange since there was no central trunk like other trees. Great image.

This the banyan tree isn't it? we have many such trees in India.
I love this tree - it seems to be so adaptable to what its environment throws at it.
